Recently, the Egyptian Interior Ministry announced a deadline for foreigners to be exempted from residence permits. In accordance with the latest deadline announcement, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Embassy in Egypt urged Saudi citizens to obtain residence cards before the end of June, Wego reports.

All foreigners, including Saudi citizens living in Egypt, must register their data with the General Administration of Passports, Immigration, and Nationality by 30 June 2024 to acquire a smart residence card. The card ensures continued access to services provided to them in all Egyptian government sectors.

In April, all foreigners in Egypt were requested to renew their residency and legalize their status by submitting their documents to relevant authorities at the General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality.
In a recent announcement, the Egyptian Interior Ministry declared that 30 June 2024 would be the final deadline for foreigners residing in the country who are exempt from residence permits to obtain their residence permits from the General Administration of Passports, Immigration, and Nationality.
