Work Bundle Platform latest news

On 8 July 2024, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) announced a new upgrade to the Work Bundle Platform, facilitating the cancellation of work permits in the UAE. This upgrade significantly reduced the cancellation process from 3 minutes to 45 seconds.

Moreover, this process now doesn’t require any documents to be uploaded, whereas it previously required 2 documents. They’ve also reduced the number of fields from 7 to 2 and enabled automatic approval.

What is the Work Bundle Platform?

The ‘Work Bundle’ initiative, which initially debuted in Dubai in March, offers a spectrum of services essential for living and working in the UAE. These include onboarding new employees and managing tasks like issuing, renewing, and canceling work contracts, permits, and visas.

Notably, processing time has been significantly reduced from nearly one month to just five days, complemented by a decrease in required documents from 16 to five. This streamlined approach also minimizes the number of visits to service centers, reducing them from seven to only two. Moreover, the initiative has expanded to encompass all seven emirates of the UAE.

Endorsed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Work Bundle Platform aims to simplify and speed up residency and work permit procedures. It is projected to save 62 million working days previously spent on renewals and contracts, with an annual reduction of 25 million procedures.

Designed to cater to the business community, the platform provides a comprehensive range of services, including renewal, cancellation, medical examination, and fingerprinting. This initiative is the outcome of close collaboration between federal and local government entities, with the aim of providing clients with the most streamlined and efficient transaction processes available through digital platforms.
