This emblematic choice represents not only lofty aspirations but also unyielding determination, echoing the innovation and courage often associated with youth. Inspired by the UAE’s pioneering strides in space exploration, it serves as a powerful symbol of ambition and achievement.

The opening ceremony of the Gulf Youth Games emphasized sustainability alongside cultural richness.

Abdulaziz Al Sulaiman, Member of the Board of Directors of the National Olympic Committee, said, “The themes of the opening ceremony were chosen to reflect the values and goals of the event. The sustainability theme will highlight the importance of using sustainable materials. This concept focuses on eco-friendly practices for major sporting event ceremonies. It explores innovative ways to utilize sustainable materials for shows, sculptures, and design elements. This approach aims to create a visually stunning experience while minimizing environmental impact and harmful emissions.”.

Al Sulaiman also highlighted the unity theme, celebrating the strong bonds of brotherhood among GCC nations. He emphasized the shared history and values that unite the region, with sporting events serving as a platform to showcase this unity and promote principles such as respect, sportsmanship, and fair play.
