  • no-show charges become relevant post-flight departure.
  • charges or penalties are imposed in conjunction with any fare differences due to factors like seasonal changes or class upgrades.

  • for passenger demise or medical illness (official documents/medical certificate needed), no charges or penalties are imposed.
  • if a passenger is a no-show and requests a refund or booking change, only the higher of the two penalties or charges will be applicable.

Exemptions

No-show or refund charges will be waived under the following circumstances:

  • flight cancellation
  • inability of PIA to provide previously confirmed space

It involves a passenger who is unable to travel in a regular seat due to a medical condition, injury, or illness that requires lying down or being transported on a stretcher.

The following are the cancellation policies for stretcher cases:

  • no refund/cancellation charges if booking is canceled 24 hours prior to departure.
  • refund/cancellation within 24 hours of flight departure incurs a 10% fare charge.
  • exemption from cancellation or no-show charges is granted upon providing a death certificate in case of passenger demise.

How to apply for PIA refund and cancellation?

Online refund and cancellation

Customers can effortlessly obtain refunds for their web tickets within 3-5 working days through the online “My Booking” option. 

PIA contact center

Alternatively, you can connect with the PIA Contact Centre at (+92‐21)‐111‐786‐786 to initiate reservation cancellation and then email PIA’s Web Refund unit at [email protected]. This process, requiring the web ticket receipt and the last four digits of the payment card, typically takes 10-15 working days

The “My Booking” link may not support those reservations that may have been canceled by customers through the PIA Contact Center or Ticket Office.
