As the world prepares for the change of seasons and temperatures rise, Indian travelers looking forward to summer vacations will have more flight options at their disposal at Mopa Airport. Wego reports that Qatar Airways will soon commence operations from Manohar International Airport (GOX) in North Goa, shifting from Dabolim Airport (GOI) in South Goa.

 

Starting from 20 June 2024, Qatar Airways will operate daily flights from Mopa Airport as per their regular schedule. This move places Qatar Airways among a growing list of airlines operating from Mopa Airport in 2024, including their partners IndiGo and Oman Air.

The shift to Mopa Airport, with its superior infrastructure, close proximity to hotels, and enhanced connectivity to public transportation, is expected to significantly improve the passenger experience.

Currently, Qatar Airways serves 13 destinations in India, including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Trivandrum.

The schedule for the flights, according to the Qatar Airways website, is as follows:  

Goa to Doha

  • flight name: QR522
  • departing Goa at 3:40 am and arriving in Doha at 5:00 am
  • prices start from INR 17,308 

Doha to Goa

  • flight name: QR523
  • departing Doha at 7:40 pm and arriving in Goa at 11:55 am
  • prices start from INR 17,308 

The last flight from Goa to Doha will depart from Dabolim Airport (GOI) on 19 June 2024. The first flight from Goa to Doha will take off from Mopa Airport or Manohar International Airport (GOX) on 20 June 2024.
