Saudi Arabia to India news
India has announced that e-visa services and facilities have been reinstated for Saudi Arabian nationals, and applies to all five sub-categories of the India e-visa, including the e-tourist visa, e-business visa, e-medical visa, e-medical attendant visa, and e-conference visa.
The Indian e-visa was initially made available to Saudi nationals in 2019 but was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Saudis can once again apply for any of the Indian e-visas by filling out the online form on the Indian visa portal.

Saudi Airlines
Saudia, the KSA’s flagship air carrier, has resumed daily flights between Saudi Arabia and India.
Saudi Arabia to India flight ticket price and schedule
- Jeddah – Delhi: one direct flight available six days a week. Ticket prices start from SAR 652.
- Jeddah – Mumbai: up to two direct flights available three days a week. Ticket prices start from SAR 622.
- Riyadh – Delhi: up to two connecting flights available all days of the week. Ticket prices start from SAR 502.
- Riyadh – Mumbai: up to two connecting flights available five days a week. Ticket prices start from SAR 371.

Flight duration
Direct flights could take up to 4 to 5 hours, depending on your arrival and departing airports. Connecting flights could take upto 15 to 19 hours in accordance with the layover periods.
Emirates
Emirates operates only connecting flights between Saudi Arabia and India, with stopovers at the Dubai International Airport.

Flight duration
Since there are only connecting flights available with Emirates, each flight may take up to 10 or 15 hours.
Air India
Air India, the national carrier of India, has both direct and connecting flights departing from Jeddah and Riyadh to prominent cities like Delhi, Mumbai and other airports.

Flight duration
The flight duration for direct flights is about 5 hours, whereas connecting flights may take over 9 to 19 hours, depending on the layover periods.
SpiceJet
Spicejet operates flights to cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The schedule mostly consists of multiple daily flights departing from Jeddah and Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia to India travel rules
As per the guidelines released by India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), the following requirements have to be followed by international arrivals to India.
Planning for travel
All travellers should preferably be fully vaccinated as per the approved primary schedule of vaccination against COVID-19 in their country.
During travel
- in-flight announcements about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, including precautionary measures to be followed (preferable use of masks and following physical distancing), shall be made on flights/travel and at all points of entry.
- any passenger having symptoms of COVID-19 during travel shall be isolated as per standard protocol, i.e. the said passenger should be wearing a mask, isolated and segregated from other passengers in flight/travel and shifted to an isolation facility subsequently for follow-up treatment.
On arrival
- de-boarding should be done, ensuring physical distancing.
- thermal screening should be done in respect of all the passengers by the health officials present at the point of entry.
- the passengers found to be symptomatic during screening shall be immediately isolated and taken to a designated medical facility as per health protocol (as above).
- all travellers should self-monitor their health post arrival also shall report to their nearest health facility or call the National Helpline number (1075)/ State Helpline Number in case they have any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19
