If you have previously been granted a US non-immigrant visa of any classification and are applying for a US visa within 48 months of your most recent nonimmigrant visa’s expiration date, you might be eligible for a visa interview waiver. According to Wego’s report, citing the US embassy in India, the authorities are streamlining the interview waiver process by consolidating the B1/B2 interview waiver appointments in New Delhi.

If you are applying for the US visa interview waiver in New Delhi, you can submit your application forms free of charge at any of the five visa application centers conveniently located in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, or New Delhi.

Or, for a cost of INR 850, applicants can also drop their documents at any US visa document drop-off centers located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Cochin, Jalandhar, or Pune.

Please note that applicants who have submitted their passports for interview waiver processing may be required to appear in New Delhi if the Embassy determines they need to attend an in-person interview.
