British Airways is set to reestablish its daily flights to Abu Dhabi, marking the return of service after a four-year hiatus, according to Wego. The operations are set to commence on 20 April 2024, thereby establishing year-round connectivity between London Heathrow and the UAE’s capital.

The airline will utilize a Boeing 787-9 aircraft for the summer of 2024 to bolster connectivity to the UAE. This move complements British Airways’ existing flights to Dubai from Heathrow, which currently operate up to three times daily.

Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Director of Network and Alliances, expressed enthusiasm about the return to Abu Dhabi, stating, “Abu Dhabi is a unique destination that is making a very welcome return to our network. With a blend of beach, city, and desert, it has everything our customers are looking for in a Middle Eastern trip, and we look forward to welcoming them back on board as we grow our footprint in the UAE.”

Furthermore, UAE travelers stand to benefit from the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) scheme when visiting the UK. This initiative simplifies the process of traveling to the UK, making it more convenient for UAE travelers. Please visit our dedicated ETA article for additional information.
