Can Indian expats renew their passports in Kuwait?
Indian expats in Kuwait can renew or reissue their passports from India’s Passport Seva website. Once the online application has been completed, applicants must submit the online application form with the required documents at the nearest BLS Center or the Embassy of India Kuwait CPV Centre to process the passport renewal.
A passport in India is reissued under the following circumstances:
- Change of address
- Exhaustion of visa pages
- Lost/stolen or damaged passports
- Addition of spouse name
Change of address, addition of spouse name, ECR deletion, exhaustion of visa pages
An application for re-issuance of an Indian passport in Kuwait can be submitted in situations where there is a change of address, addition of spouse name, ECR deletion or exhaustion of visa pages.
Requirements
The following are some of the requirements applicants in Kuwait need to go through to apply for India passport renewal in cases of change in address, addition of spouse name, ECR deletion or exhaustion of visa pages.
- Applicants must complete the online application form on the Passport Seva website and bring a printed copy of the filled-in form.
- Provide two identical passport-size photographs (51mm x 51mm) with a white background.
- The original Passport, Civil ID or any other related document in the original for verification.
- A photocopy of the passport, including the first and last two pages and any pages with observations made by the Passport Issuing Authority.
- Signatures are required to be affixed before the Submission Officer of BLS.
- Submit the printout, the required documents, and the prescribed fee at the nearest BLS Center or Embassy of India Kuwait CPV centre.

If a passport is lost or damaged, applicants must fill out an online application form at the Passport Seva Website.
Requirements
- Applicants must complete the online application form on the Passport Seva website and bring a printed copy of the filled-in form.
- Original damaged passport/copy of lost passport along with lost report issued from CID office.
- Attach a photocopy of the Civil ID and Annexure ‘F.’
- Provide three recent photographs (51mm X 51mm)

How to apply for an Indian passport renewal in Kuwait?
To apply for an India passport renewal in Kuwait, follow the steps given below:
- Visit the Passport Seva website and register.
- Select the “Register to Apply for Passport Services” option and complete all the required details.
- Create your login credentials and USER ID for future access.
- Log in with your USER ID to complete the online application on the same portal.
- In the Applicant Home Page, click on the “Apply for Ordinary Passport” option and then on “Reissue” under the “Applying for” category to proceed with your re-issuance procedure. Please ensure all information is accurate and complete.
- Keep a printed copy of your application for reference. Schedule an appointment to renew your passport at the designated centre.
