This new visa category, developed in collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Investment, aims to facilitate business exploration in various sectors within the kingdom. At present, the visa is only available to nationals from select countries, with plans for expansion in future phases.

Saudi visiting investor visa application process
Not much information is currently available on the exact steps and requirements for this visa service. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the visa can be obtained by applying for a business visit visa through the unified national platform for visas. The process is expected to be accessible and simplified with electronic procedures.
According to the ministry, the application will be processed, and once approved, the visa will be issued instantly and sent to the investor via email. This means that applicants can apply for and receive their visas from anywhere in the world without the need for physical visits or extensive paperwork. As more details become available, we will provide updates regarding the application process and requirements.
Saudi visiting investor visa requirements
To get the Visiting Investor Visa, an online application must be made through the Unified National Platform for visas, which has been designed to make applications efficient and user-friendly, with simplified electronic procedures. Applicants can submit their applications from anywhere in the world without the need for an in-person visit or hard-copy paperwork.
Once the application is submitted, it’s processed instantaneously, and the visa is issued straight away. The issued visa is then sent directly to the investor’s email, meaning you could theoretically receive your visa just minutes after applying.
Applicants are advised to have the following documents when applying online:
- Original passport with a validity of six months and at least two successive empty visa pages.
- Health insurance
- A bank card to make a visa payment
For US citizens, the following supporting documentation should be provided:
- Employment verification letter by the applicant’s US employer addressed to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Washington, D.C., confirming the applicant’s position and citing “business” as the purpose of travel on behalf of the company
- Copy of the company’s business registration in Saudi Arabia and in the US
