The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically evolved the travel industry and severely restricted mobility across nations. International borders have gradually opened up with some allowing entry primarily to fully vaccinated tourists and visitors.

India vaccine certificate
A COVID vaccine certificate in India serves as documentary proof that an individual has taken one or both doses of any vaccine approved in the country. The certificate states at the top if a holder has received one COVID-19 vaccine dose, or are fully vaccinated.
The India COVID-19 vaccine certificate can be downloaded and verified on online platforms like Aarogya Setu, UMANG App, Digilocker app, and the Cowin portal.
Countries accepting Indian vaccine certificate
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has now devised the ‘Category A’ list of countries that have officially agreed for the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates for travel. This will be applicable only to fully vaccinated travellers with nationally recognized or WHO recognized COVID-19 vaccines. At present 113 nations have accepted India’s COVID-19 vaccination certificate and 22 countries have given the mutual nod.
These countries include USA, UAE, Australia, and more.
