GDRFA Smart Services latest news

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has introduced a new call center service aimed at providing information related to immigration procedures to children. Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of GDRFA, announced the launch of the service, which is an extension of children’s passport control counters at Dubai’s airport terminals.

The initiative is designed to enhance the travel experience for young passengers by addressing their inquiries through a dedicated call center line. Children can reach the service by calling the toll-free number 8005111 (within the UAE) or +97143139999 (from outside the UAE) and pressing number 3 for English or number 4 for Arabic.

The service, operational since November 2023 on a trial basis, has already received hundreds of calls from children seeking information on various services, such as visa status, general details about visiting Dubai, and procedures for traveling alone. GDRFA officials emphasize that the service is exclusively for children to engage directly and express their ideas and suggestions. Additionally, the GDRFA has introduced a “Call Back Assist” feature in its call center to connect callers with agents when they are available.
