The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP), has unveiled an innovative solution that empowers overseas residents to effortlessly renew their Emirates ID and passport from anywhere in the world using the agency’s mobile application.
According to a recent update by Emarat Al Youm, the Director of Customer Happiness Management at the ICP, this exclusive service is accessible only through their advanced mobile application. As a result, any request for Emirates ID renewal or UAE passport renewal made through printing centers or by individuals not directly associated with the transaction within the UAE will be declined, as the application is designed to identify applicants located outside the country.
To ensure a smooth renewal process, applicants residing outside the UAE must fulfill a vital condition by personally engaging with the authority’s dedicated smart application to apply for their Emirates ID or passport renewal, thereby confirming their ownership of the relevant documents.
