However, getting a Saudi visit visa for Pakistani citizens can be a challenging and time-consuming process. Saudi Arabia scrapping visa stickers for Pakistan
In July 2023, Saudi Arabia announced a major change in the visa policy of 12 countries, including Pakistan. Under the new system, incoming travelers will no longer need a visa sticker on their passport, which will be replaced by a printed e-visa featuring a QR code. The code will contain all the data required and information on the passenger.
The e-visa will replace the stickers for labor, visit or residency visas.

Saudi visit visa general requirements
Even though the exact set of documents required for a specific type of Saudi visit visa may vary depending on the type of permit, the general set of documents required by travelers from Pakistan for a Saudi Arabia visa is as follows:
- an original passport with 8-month validity
- a Return Ticket attached to the documents for the approval of the Umrah visa.
- the hotel booking receipt
- 4 passport-size photographs with a blue background
- CNIC, B-form for children and infants.
- fingerprint recognition of the traveler’s ID
- proof of Lodging
Please note that all the other documents will be requested by the embassy if needed. All these documents should be attested by some authority to be recognized as valid documents. You can get them attested via any government officer.

Saudi visit visa for Pakistanis
The following is a list of available visit visas in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi eVisa/tourist visa
The Saudi tourist visa (Saudi e-Visa) is an entry authorization document allowing foreign nationals to enter Saudi Arabia for non-essential and non-religious purposes.
The Saudi tourist visa is a one-year, multiple-entry electronic visa allowing tourists to spend up to 90 days in the country. It covers tourism-related activities and Umrah (excluding the Hajj season) and excludes other activities such as studying. The tourist visa is available as an e-visa, visa-on-arrival and consulate visa.
Currently, Saudi e-visas can only be issued to travelers from 49 countries. Since Pakistan is not on the approved list of countries, travelers from Pakistan are required to get in touch with the nearest Saudi Embassy.

Submit the required documents
The documents, as mentioned above, are required to be submitted to the embassy by travelers from Pakistan looking to obtain a visa to visit Saudi Arabia.
Please make sure to consult with your Saudi embassy, as some additional documents may also be required.
Once the application has been submitted, the authorities will review it to determine the approval or rejection based on the eligibility criteria and the documents provided by the applicants. If approved, visa holders should not overstay the duration mentioned on the visa.
Saudi family visit visa
The Saudi family visit visa is a type of visit visa issued by the MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to the immediate family members of legal residents or citizens of Saudi Arabia who are living outside of KSA to visit their families in the Kingdom. A family visit visa can only be issued to immediate family members such as:
- parents
- children
- father-in-law and mother-in-law
- husband or wife
- brothers or Sisters and their families (wives/husbands and their children).
Only a legal Saudi resident or citizen who is an Iqama holder can apply for the family visit visa on behalf of the visitor. For this, the Iqama should be valid for at least 4 months.
It is worth noting that a person can now perform Umrah on a family visit visa. However, they need to make sure to book an appointment through the Nusuk platform.
Personal visit visa
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced a new entry visa dubbed the Personal visitor visa. This visit visa allows foreign nationals to enter the country via an invitation from their Saudi friends or acquaintances. With the Saudi Personal visit visa, holders may:
- freely visit the country
- travel across the Kingdom
- visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah and other religious sites
- perform Umrah
- take part in cultural events
To apply for the Saudi Personal visit visa, Saudi citizens must:
- visit the eVisa platform of the ministry’s website at https://visa.mofa.gov.sa.
- go to the “Individual Service” section of the eVisa platform
- log in through the Nafadh unified national platform
- fill out the data of the invitees by requesting a personal visit
- approve the necessary undertakings
The request will then be processed, and a Personal visit visa will be issued. The data can be viewed through the “invitation request” query service. To do so, you can take the following steps:
- visiting the MoFA visa platform
- selecting the inquiry icon
- filling in the required data
- clicking the “Inquiry” icon to know the status of the previously submitted application
Business visa
Travelers looking to enter the Kingdom for business purposes, such as meetings, conferences, and more, can apply for a Saudi business visa from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) website. The Saudi business visa can be a single or multiple-entry visa.
Among the required documents are:
- a valid passport (with blank pages)
- passport photographs
- completed application form
- a letter of invitation from the sponsor company in Saudi Arabia that is approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- a letter from your employer confirming your employment and upcoming trip
- any other required documents depending on the applicant’s country of origin
Umrah visa
An Umrah Visa is an official document designed to facilitate Muslims wishing to embark on Makkah on a minor pilgrimage known as the Umrah.
Two kinds of Umrah visas may be available to you depending on your country of origin, namely the Umrah Visa and the Umrah e-visa. Both Umrah visas are valid for two weeks.
For the Umrah season of 1445 AH, the kingdom announced several offers for pilgrims to make their visit convenient. The Ministry listed out many options like the transit visit visa, family visit visa, personal visit visa, and visa-on-arrival. Furthermore, Pakistani nationals now have the opportunity to extend their stay with Umrah visas, granting a 90-day validity and a 96-hour Stopover visa option, which permits travelers to incorporate Umrah into their travel plans, enhancing flexibility and convenience.

Transit visa
Pilgrims who are arriving by plane can use the transit visit visa. On this visa, pilgrims can not only perform the rituals of Umrah but can also visit the Prophet’s Mosque.
The visa allows for a four-day stay in the Kingdom and is valid for 90 days, is free of charge and is immediately issued upon purchasing an airline ticket.
Pilgrims can reserve a ticket and submit a visa application through the official websites of Saudi Airlines or Flynas.
Saudi visit visa for Pakistanis fee
The visa fees for all visit visas, including e-visa, visa-on-arrival, and consulate visa, are SAR 300 (PKR 24,499.71), and the cost of the new comprehensive medical insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment is SAR 140 (PKR 11,433.20) including tax, bringing the total to SAR 440 (PKR 35,932.90). For business visas, the cost is SAR 807 for a single entry visa and SAR 1107 for a multiple entry visa (available from 1 up to 5 years).
